Dealing with the NOW can be very overwhelming. Those who consume a lot of media find themselves facing a flood of information: thousands of things seem to take place all at once and are complexly interwoven. That experience can be paralyzing and lead to the cause that the individuals no longer want to inform themselves. This is exactly why many people develop the desire for simple solutions and explanations. Conspiracy theories, fake news, and populists have considerable success in offering them.The HIKING ROUTES THROUGH THE NOW are an attempt at an alternative model, at giving order to the flood of information. The map is a personal form of inventory, offering viewers the opportunity to take a (mental) walk through parts of an organized NOW, look at it calmly. It’s a small attempt to satisfy their wish for order and orientation.

born 1995 in Graz, 2019 Bachelor in Graphic Design and Photography at the Kunstuni Linz, since 2020 Master studies Visual Communication at the Kunstuni in Linz, lives in Vienna. “I see the greatest potential of Visual Communication in translating complex content into an emotive and easily understandable level pictorially. I prefer to design things with (also fictional) practical application that are not meant for mere contemplation. My ideas usually arise from the interaction of theoretical and creative work.”

A I probably would have studied history.
